– Cultural Heritage & Community Centre Thigira wa Ũrũmwe is a proposed cultural heritage and community centre in Kiambu County, Kenya, dedicated to preserving Agĩkũyũ traditions, strengthening community unity and passing cultural wisdom from one generation to another. Inspired by the Human Compass, the architectural design reflects the principles of human well-being, respect for life, environmental harmony, prudence and frugality. Its circular cultural concept incorporates the names Anjiru, Ambui, Agaciku, Aceera, Ethaga, Angari, Aithirandu, Airimu, Angui and Aicakamuyu, celebrating the community's ancestral heritage, identity and the values that unite generations. The development seeks to create a welcoming, dignified and lasting cultural space where heritage is celebrated, traditional knowledge is preserved and future generations remain connected to their roots.
